6th International Cruise Conference

13th to 15th of June 2019

“Cruise Tourism: Change Imperative and Dynamics”

The 6th International Cruise Conference (abbr. ICC6) will take place on June 13th to 15th 2019, at the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences in Bremerhaven. We are looking forward to three days during which academics and experts will have the opportunity to exchange information, ideas and thoughts about the future and emerging trends of the cruise sector.  Keynote speeches, as well as workshops, are planned in order to stimulate and enable discussion.

Apart from a stimulating and thought-provoking discussion, the contributions and ensuing discussion will be documented and published in a Special Issue of Tourism in Marine Environments and in the form of conference proceedings.  The themes covered (i.e. tracks) are outlined in the accompanying call for papers. Within this context we invite and encourage researchers and practitioners to contribute and present papers.  Selected contributions and keynote speeches are going to the basis for discussion amongst the participants (contributors and attendants).

The ICC6 Programme can be downloaded here

The ICC6 is also an opportunity to socialise and network, while experiencing the maritime flair of Bremerhaven.  For this reason, an extensive side-programme will be offered, consisting (but not limited to) the following options:

  • Informal ‘get together’ on Wednesday evening (the 12th of June) for early arrivals
  • Sea-Side event on Thursday the 13th of June
  • CRS 10-Year Anniversary – Highlight dinner and party event on Friday the 14th of June at the Climate House
  • Various excursion possibilities on Saturday 15th of June for participants and accompanying parties (e.g. family-members)

More information about the conference (including updates) will be made available on:
